M.I.C Arts Fest Production - 十间 on 3rd Feb 2010


SMU Music Interactive Club will be presenting 十间 (which has the same pronunciation as time (时间) in Chinese; the word “十”also means 10), “Now and Ten”. Our production is a singing concert that will be mainly inclined towards mandarin songs, with a couple of English titles. In conjunction with the spirit of Valentine’s Day, 十间 will have a central theme revolving around love and contentment. Through specially selected songs and use of an emcee, the story of a relationship between a couple and different phases in it unfold as we explore various forms of love and contentment and how they are derived in the relationship. This is in line with the festival theme, Content: Content. Concurrently, we will celebrate SMU’s 10th Anniversary by performing songs from 2001-2010. You will be able to recognize familiar lyrics from well known songs during this period of time in our storyline too. A few songs will be selected from each year (2001-2009) and we will use our selection to portray the journey of the couple in our story. Join us for a night of tears and laughter as we reminisce songs from the past decade!
